You don't need a reason. Perhaps there are no reasons. You have all the time you decide to take, and time will always take it back.

see Engels' "origins of the state, family and private property" (or something), for good historical analysis of the form of the family unit and its relation to state/property/contract.
how are you these days? what have your latest adventures brought you?
it seems, as usual, i am failing in maintaining communication with distant friends. it would be lovely to hear from you soon. uni is an overwhelming energy drain.

for historical analysis in the context of class struggle see Engels - 'the state, family and private property'.
consider also; family as (working) unit, as the 'rest' of the woker, a small heirarchy for the/a worker - the man/husband - and the challenges of history of feminism and women employees. also, 'full-employment' and work-life ratios since feminism, since the (perhaps Fordist-era created) increase by 100% of the work-force - the freedom of the 'unit' sacrificed further. and the economic benefits for being a married couple with 2.1 children (differences between pre-fordism/pre-feminism and contemporary world.
clearly, i have little to add on the topic of the 'asian family syndrome'.

how have you been Y? i'm so hopeless at this contactless communication. please, visit my blog, send me an email. i've been lazy, weak and smashed/recovering/withdrawing, i'll email you... but please don't rely on me.

love,

Didn't think you were using this anymore ... I was just trawling through old URLs and thinking of starting a new blog myself and happened upon this place.

Funny how things link up. I was in Collected Works today (the "poetry and ideas" bookshop on the first floor of the Nicholas Building, on the corner of Swanston and Flinders Lane) and found a beautiful translation of Sappho's words (including even three-word fragments). The first poem was the hymn to Aphrodite.

Shouldn't everyone worship Aphrodite rather than Ares?

Hope you're doing okay.

Nothing and it all matters... nothing and everything is normal... i think you question it well but who cares what I think or you think or anyone thinks. it doesn't matter but is so important... there are no answers.

this is a psuedo-physical-abtract space of 'my' world, quite frankly, i want to believe that 'i' don't really exist; 'i' just bare too much self-consevation, selfishness, persistence, ignorance, pain, hurt. I believe i am just a collections of mental and physical construtions/structure/aggregates with temporal continuaty and some sense of causal connectedness and relatedness.
so this is where part of me exist, part of my mind, part of my emotion, and part of my existense. in fact, it is part of "our" existense, the memories, emotions, thought, knowledge, wisdom, events- happiness, sadness, pain, pleasure that 'i' have shared and gathered from all different media, and the experience is like it is mine, but surely, and clearly the acknowledgement goes much further then I.
Thus, Welcome to Our space, our world, our mind, our emotion, our pain, our joy, our humaness, our being....
